The MEDICAL SPECIALISMS – ENDOCRINOLOGY Service is located in the Tamaris Building – 5th floor – Direct access via the passageway.

ACTIVITIES:

• Monitoring of patients with diabetes: type 1 and type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, insulin pumps (referral centre), Holter glycaemic monitors
• Metabolic nutritional disorders: obesity, dyslipidemia
• Endocrine disorders: diseases of the thyroid, pituitary gland, adrenal glands
• Consultation with diabetes education nurse: learning about self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) and insulin therapy, monitoring of SMBG equipment and publication of electronic SMBG log, installation and reading of Holter glycaemic monitors, education for diabetes patients treated using insulin pumps.
• Consultations with a dietician: dietary surveys and personalised diets (obesity, diabetes, nutritional disorders).
