Service Pathologie (CHPG)

INFORMATION:

• Open to the public Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
• Technical department open from 8 am to 6 pm for receipt of examinations, samples and extemporaneous examinations.
• Pathologists are on duty from 8.30 am to 6 pm.
• Codification of all lesions, enabling a systematic search for histopathological antecedents in patients.
• Priority focus on quality and speed of sample management, in accordance with the recommendations of the French Association for Quality Assurance in Pathological Anatomy and Cytology (AFAQAP).
• The service is involved in various external quality assessments: technical, diagnostic and organisational assessments to optimise patient care.
• In November 2017, the Pathology Service obtained COFRAC accreditation in accordance with standard EN ISO 15189 for the HES stain test (Accreditation No. 8-4148, scope available from www.cofrac.fr).

CONDITIONS TREATED:

• Histopathology diagnosis of lesions, primarily inflammatory and tumoral, which is critical for patient care;
• Microscope analysis of all cell and tissue samples taken by doctors across various specialisms: cytology, biopsy and excised tissue.
