- Urological surgery deals with the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and infectious diseases, formation of stones, injuries and tumours affecting the male and female urinary systems (kidneys, renal pelvis, ureter, bladder, urethra) and the male reproductive system (prostate, testicles, penis).
- Urology is both a surgical and a medical speciality, since some patients can be treated without the need for surgery (benign prostate enlargement, kidney stones, testicle infections).
- The study and treatment of male reproductive disorders, erectile dysfunction, problems with ejaculation and fertility disorders make up the branch of medicine known as andrology, which has links to urology as well as other areas (psychiatry, endocrinology, gynaecology, etc.).
- The study and treatment of childhood urinary disorders, most commonly due to malformations but also caused by infections or tumours, is known as paediatric urology. Urologists or paediatric surgeons who have acquired particular expertise practise in this area of medicine, which lies at the intersection between the two specialities.
- Sexual medicine covers a wide range of issues related to sexuality: sexual function, sexual experience and behaviour, questions relating to sexual identity and sexual trauma and its consequences. This area of medicine also plays a role in general prevention, since a consultation with a specialist provides an opportunity for a full health check-up.

Consultations:
The consultation service is open every day from 8 am to 6 pm on the lower level of the Louis II pavilion.
Consultations are by appointment, but emergency consultations are also available.
- Conventional urology consultations
- Endoscopic examinations
- Urodynamic testing
- Extracorporeal lithotripsy

Surgery:
- Conventional surgery, laparoscopy, Da Vinci robot-assisted laparoscopy
- Brachytherapy, Ablatherm heat therapy
- Endoscopic resection, photodynamic endoscopic resection (HEXVIX)
- Treating of kidney and urinary tract stones using techniques from conventional surgery to extracorporeal lithotripsy
- Surgery to treat incontinence and disorders of the female reproductive system
- Pelvic surgery
