The RAINIER III Clinical Gerontology Centre is the centrepiece of the extensive gerontology programme first introduced by the Prince’s Government in 2003.

It offers a graduated response to both elective and unscheduled geriatric care needs. The inpatient geriatric service also provides palliative care and care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease, and helps to care for geriatric cancer patients.

Close collaboration has been established with the Centre de Coordination Gérontologique de Monaco (CCGM), the Speranza-Albert II Centre and the Principality’s retirement homes (A Qietüdine and Cap Fleuri).

The facility has 210 individual rooms fully dedicated to caring for the elderly.
The Rainer III Centre is located at 1 Avenue Pasteur, Monaco. It is accessed via the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace.

Members of the public are not permitted to access the immediate vicinity of the building by car. Visitors are strongly advised to use public transport.
The intercity shuttle which serves Cap Fleuri now also stops at the Rainier III Centre. Please contact reception for routes and timetables.

Visiting:
To allow patients to rest and enable the units to operate efficiently, visiting hours are between 12 pm and 7 pm.
